A midweek trip to Horndean is next on the agenda for Danny Thompson's men.

The clash comes just four days after Rovers survived a basement club banana skin, recording a 4-1 victory over Alresford Town.

Miles Everett, Dillon North and Kelvin Robinson all found the target in the first half, before Liam Brewer scored his second league goal off the bench in the final stages to round-off the victory.

Tuesday's encounter provides Thompson's side with the chance to make yet more history since the former assistant manager took over the main role last summer.

His side have already progressed to the club's furthest-ever peak in the FA Cup and Hampshire Cup, but Baffins have never won a league match or won at Five Heads Park.

In FA Cup action in August, Baffins ran out 3-0 winners against Horndean as Robinson's flick was added to by Jason Parish and Tom Vincent. Parish returns to the squad for the trip to Five Heads, as Baffins search for a third-successive victory.

Rovers we unsuccessful on their last trip to Horndean, as the Deans netted two late goals in a 2-0 defeat in February 2022.

The PO8 outfit sit third in the Wessex League standings, and have won 16 of their opening 20 league fixtures - losing just twice. Michael Birmingham's side sit five points behind second-placed AFC Stoneham with three matches in hand.

In their most recent fixture, Horndean dispatched of Hythe & Dibden at Five Heads Park. 24-goal striker Zac Willett and Ben Anderson found the target in a 2-1 victory.
