Match Preview: Pagham vs Baffins

Rovers make a first trip to Nyetimber Lane to take on Pagham on Tuesday evening.
The contest - which kicks-off at 7:45pm - represents Baffins’ first-ever trip to face Pagham away from home.
The first meeting between the two clubs was at the PMC Stadium back in October, and Joe Johnson struck a late winning as Pagham’s strong defence eventually conceded.
The West Sussex-based side made the switch from the Southern Combination Premier Division for the 2022/23 campaign, and currently sit 18th in the standings.
One of Pagham's victories this campaign came on opening night, as they beat United Services 4-2 on home turf - their only victory against a PO-postcode side this term.
The Lions sit two points from the drop zone - above Blackfield & Langley - to the Wessex League’s basement tier.
Just three wins from Pagham’s fifteen league fixtures, sees the newcomers have 10 points on the board - 17 less than Rovers.
And there will be familiar faces on the opposition team sheet on Tuesday evening. Stan Bridgman and Oscar Johnson made the summer switch to West Sussex and could face their former club in this encounter.
You can support Baffins at Nyetimber Lane on Tuesday 3 January (7:45pm kick-off). Tickets are priced £6 adults and £3 concessions and Pagham operate as cash only.
