Tom Vincent scores in either half, but Rovers are condemned to a third successive league defeat.

Baffins were unsuccessful on gaining Wessex Premier Division points, but it was an impressive performance in PO3.

The hosts began the contest on the front foot and almost had the lead after just twenty minutes. Tom Vincent’s header from a Miles Everett cross hit the post, before Kelvin Robinson couldn’t get the required connection to his acrobatic effort.

Baffins took the lead on 34 minutes as Rob Evans’ cross found Vincent who guided his header home.

Jason Parish, still trying to shake off an injury, was replaced at the break and the away side had an equaliser soon after. Harrison Brook capitalised on a loose ball in the box and found the target.

Just under ten minutes later, Portchester had another as Sam Pearce headed home from close-range.

Baffins were back on level terms when Vincent broke through following Alpay Ali’s ball and the forward fired under Steve Mowthorpe.

Brett Pitman scored seven minutes before the final whistle, heading home after being allowed too much space in the box.

Baffins: Hardcastle, Evans, Francis, Oakwell, Kennedy, Wellham, Everett (Brownlie 71), Parish (Johnson 46), Vincent, Robinson (Ali 73). Subs not used: Scammell, Sims.
