Baffins smash Whitchurch United to claim the biggest victory so far of the Danny Thompson era.
Baffins eased into the Wessex League Cup Third Round with a convincing 5-0 victory at Whitchurch.
Danny Thompson made ten changes for the trip to East Hampshire, with Jason Parish the only player remaining from the side that took on Badshot Lea.
It took Baffins until the 27th minute to take the lead as Alpay Ali guided home an audacious header, connecting to a Harvey Wellham cross.
Just three minutes later, Jason Parish doubled the lead, pouncing on a defensive error to slot home.
The away side began the second interval as they left off in the first half. Dillon North got his goal after seeing a plethora of chances saved during the match, as he fired home past the goalkeeper.
Joe Johnson got in on the act soon after, smashing an effort into the far corner.
Harry Fox was introduced for his senior debut before Ali rounded-off an impressive victory on the road. The forward took the ball around the goalkeeper and slotted into an empty net for Baffins’ fifth goal of the evening.
The draw for the Third Round of the Wessex League Cup will take place in due course.
